Kitaya Shoten Hand Towels Hamamatsu Chusen x Enshu Cotton Urara
Kitaya Shoten Hand Towels Hamamatsu Chusen x Enshu Cotton Urara
A collaboration between Enshu cotton tsumugi and Hamamatsu chusen dyeing!
Specifications and Features
The Enshu cotton pongee, which has a distinctive striped pattern that has been preserved in the Enshu region centered around Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture since the Edo period, is dyed into a border (horizontal stripes) using Hamamatsu Chusen. The original fabric stripes and the dyed borders overlap, creating a completely different atmosphere and an interesting finish.
``Chusen'' is a technique in which glued fabrics are layered and dyed by pouring dye from the front to the back. It is characterized by the fact that the starched fabric is layered and dyed by pouring the dye from the front to the back, so the front and back sides are dyed in the same way. With repeated use, the fabric will become softer and gentler to the touch, so please enjoy the change.

●As this is a hand-dyed tenugui, the color may fade slightly. Please wash your hands before using as the color may transfer to other items, especially if it contains moisture. When washing, please separate from other items and avoid soaking or using detergents containing optical brighteners.
●As each piece is handmade by a craftsman, there may be slight bleeding, pattern misalignment, or color unevenness, but this is not a defective item, so please be aware of this before purchasing. Enjoy the unique taste of hand-dyed dyeing.
●Please note that there may be a slight difference in color between the photo and the actual product.
