Cotton Satsuma is the "diamond of cotton fabrics" that kimono lovers long for and connoisseurs end up with. Although it does not have a certificate, it is Cotton Satsuma from Togo Textiles. Please come to our store and check it out for yourself.
This fabric was made in the Satsuma region (present-day Kagoshima Prefecture) and is made of cotton, making it supple and pleasant to the touch. You should definitely experience the soft texture for yourself; it has a unique charm that is not found in other cotton fabrics. The number of pieces produced is extremely small, and it is said that it takes a skilled craftsman about six months to weave one bolt of fabric.
