Kitaya Shoten Tenugui (hand towels) Enshu Cotton EnshuZhenwuye
A collaboration between Enshu cotton tsumugi and Hamamatsu chusen dyeing!
Specifications and Functions
The Enshu cotton pongee, which has a distinctive striped pattern, has been dyed into a border (horizontal stripes) using Hamamatsu Chusen, paying close attention to the Enshu region centered around Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, from the Edo period to the present. They overlapped and the atmosphere changed dramatically, creating an interesting finish.
``Chusen'' is a technique in which pasted fabrics are layered and dyed by pouring dye from front to back. With repeated use, the fabric becomes softer and more comfortable to wear, so please enjoy the changes.

●As this is a hand-dyed tenugui, the color may fade slightly. The color may bleed onto other items, especially if it contains water, so please hand wash it before use. When washing the shochu, separate it from other items and leave it soaked or use detergent containing optical brighteners. Please avoid.
●As each piece is handmade by craftsmen, we apologize for any defects such as slight bleeding, pattern misalignment, uneven coloring, etc., so please be aware of this before purchasing. We look forward to the unique taste of hand-dyed dyeing.
